Regular Meeting of UNY Psychology Department Discusses Various Important Issues

Yogyakarta, 07/06/2024 - The Department of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held an important meeting that started at 8:30 AM and ended at 11:00 AM. The meeting took place in the Moh Amien Building, 1st floor, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) UNY, discussing various strategic issues related to academic and administrative activities in the psychology department.

The important meeting, led by the Head of the Psychology Department, Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si., and the Department Secretary, Dr. Kartika Nur Fathiyah, M.Si., delved into various strategic issues. It began with a discussion on employee performance targets (SKP) for lecturers, emphasizing the importance of performance evaluation to improve the quality of education and teaching in the department.

Next, the preparation for the final semester exams became the main topic, focusing on the technical aspects of implementation, supervision, and evaluation of exam results. The meeting also discussed the preparation for the implementation of the psychology professional program, which is expected to enhance graduates' competencies in facing the workforce. Additionally, issues regarding the use of Turnitin for the graduation of master's students (S2) were discussed to increase adherence to academic writing standards. The guidance system for undergraduate (S1) thesis projects was also a key point, aiming to improve the effectiveness of guidance.

Issues related to international internship psychotests were also raised, especially regarding the discipline problems of students during internships abroad. The discussion on the identity color of the psychology faculty was conducted to strengthen the faculty's visual identity. Lastly, the mentoring process for thesis projects was discussed to ensure the guidance process runs smoothly according to academic guidelines. This meeting produced various important decisions expected to improve the quality of education and administration in the Department of Psychology at UNY, with the Head and Secretary of the Department emphasizing the importance of cooperation and commitment of all staff in achieving the set targets.
