Sharing Session on Workplace Happiness and Growth Mindset at Nahdlatul Ulama University Yogyakarta

Yogyakarta, December 9, 2024 — Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Yogyakarta held an inspiring sharing session on workplace happiness and the growth mindset for its staff and faculty members during the regular Monday morning assembly. The session featured two speakers from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY): Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si., who spoke about workplace happiness, and Dr. Kartika Nur Fathiyah, M.Si., who elaborated on the concept of the growth mindset.

The event started at 7:30 AM with tahlilan, a unique tradition of UNU Yogyakarta preceding their routine assemblies. Following this, the sharing session took place and lasted until 8:30 AM.

In the first session, Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si. highlighted the significance of workplace happiness as a key determinant of employee performance and well-being. She emphasized how a positive work environment can boost motivation and foster employee loyalty. The second session, led by Dr. Kartika Nur Fathiyah, M.Si. introduced the concept of the growth mindset, encouraging participants to view challenges as opportunities for growth and to cultivate a more optimistic and adaptive mindset.

This event proved to be mutually beneficial for both institutions. For UNY, it marked another opportunity for faculty members to engage in community service outside the campus. Meanwhile, for UNU Yogyakarta, the session provided valuable insights on fostering workplace happiness and promoting sustainable growth mindset practices among its staff and faculty.

This initiative is expected to be the starting point for deeper collaboration between UNY and UNU Yogyakarta, while simultaneously enhancing human resource development within the UNU Yogyakarta community.
