Yogyakarta—On Thursday (15/08), the staff of the Yogyakarta Detention Center participated in a workshop titled "Enhancing Happiness in the Workplace," organized by the Research and Community Service Team from the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This event aimed to improve the work environment and the psychological well-being of employees, which is expected to have a positive impact on performance and services at the Yogyakarta Detention Center.

The workshop comprised various sessions covering both theoretical and practical aspects of happiness in the workplace, along with several ice-breaking activities to create an enjoyable atmosphere during the training. The topics discussed included the importance of fostering happiness in the workplace, beginning with self-awareness, and building resilience within the work environment. The sessions on workplace happiness were delivered by Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si., and Eva Rachman, M.Psi., while the training on resilience was conducted by Dyah Ayu Purwaniningtyas, M.A., and Rilis Asterina, M.Psi.

The staff members who attended the workshop showed great enthusiasm in each session. During the ice-breaking activities, they were given the opportunity to discuss and share their experiences regarding the challenges of creating happiness in their work environment and the factors that contribute to their sense of well-being at work.

It is hoped that, through this workshop, the staff of the Yogyakarta Detention Center will be able to cultivate their own happiness at work and be more motivated to create a more positive work environment. As a result, not only will the staff benefit, but also the inmates and the broader community they serve. This is an important first step in fostering workplace happiness and well-being, which will ultimately enhance the quality of life and performance of the staff.
