Yogyakarta, 24/06/2024 – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) made an official visit to the Department of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) on Friday, June 21, 2024. The event took place in the International B room of the Moh. Amien Building, Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) at UNY.

The delegation from UNESA, led by the Coordinator of the Psychology Study Program, Mrs. Siti Ina Savira, S.Psi., M.EdCp, arrived at UNY in the morning and was warmly welcomed by the Head of the Department of Psychology at UNY, Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si. This meeting aimed to strengthen the relationship between the two faculties and discuss important topics related to curriculum development, participation in the Association of Indonesian Higher Education Psychology Study Programs (AP2TPI), and opportunities for cooperation in student exchange programs.

In the first session, both parties discussed the development of a curriculum that meets contemporary needs and the demands of the job market. Subsequently, the discussion continued on participation in AP2TPI. The Head of the Department of Psychology at UNY shared UNY's experiences in actively participating in AP2TPI and how it positively impacts the quality of education and professional networking.

Another topic discussed was the cooperation in student exchange programs. Both faculties agreed that this program is highly beneficial for providing diverse learning experiences and broadening students' perspectives. The visit concluded with enjoying the traditional Gudeg cuisine of Yogyakarta and the presentation of a plaque from the Department of Psychology at UNY to the Faculty of Psychology at UNESA.

The event proceeded smoothly and with a collaborative spirit, marking the first step towards stronger synergy in the field of psychology education in Indonesia.
